Portals

Portals is an innovative metaverse project on Solana that allows users to interact with friends, coworkers, and DAO members, play games, and express themselves through unique avatars and personalized spaces. Within these spaces, users can showcase their NFT collections. Notably, Portals has integrated ETH NFTs, enabling players to bring their ETH NFTs into the Solana Portals metaverse.

Portal NFT holders can already enjoy building their rooms in the metaverse, but anyone can use the Portals demo to explore current features. The first step in the demo allows users to create an avatar, providing a taste of the customization and personalization options available.

On November 26, 2021, Portals launched its first NFT drop, Portals Access Cards. These cards grant access to the initial building within the Portals metaverse. The metaverse will expand from the center outward, giving early adopters prime access to the central areas. Any DAO, company, organization, NFT project, or community wishing to establish a presence in Portals Downtown will need to own or have permission to use a Holder Card.

Portals was founded by Gomez and Wakawakajaq, who collectively bring over 25 years of technical development experience. They have built games, apps, WebGL, and AR/VR experiences for major brands such as Disney, Blizzard, Riot Games, Microsoft, and Oculus. Gomez previously founded a software studio and a Twitch influencer platform, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Portals project.

With Portals, users can create and collectively develop an immersive, experience-filled environment, transforming it into a vibrant city block within the metaverse.
