Description
Mayan is a decentralized solution designed to seamlessly transition users across different blockchains without requiring gas on the destination chain. It employs three complementary methods for facilitating cross-chain swaps, each offering unique trade-offs between speed and price. All methods are powered by Wormhole message passing.
The first method is WH Swaps, which uses Solana as the trading hub and Token Bridge as the value transfer protocol. This method involves transferring assets to Solana, where the trade is fulfilled using the Mayan Flash Swap program. If the destination chain is not Solana, relayers transfer the tokens to the intended chain.
The second method, Mayan-Circle Transfer Protocol (MCTP), utilizes CCTP as the highway for transferring value to the destination chain. On the destination chain, the trade is executed using the Mayan Flash Swap smart contract/program, and the output tokens are delivered to the user.
The third method, Swift, is intent-centric and the fastest bridging method. In Swift, a user creates an order by locking funds using the Mayan contract on the source chain and specifying the trade details. A designated driver fulfills the order on the destination chain and then provides proof on the source chain to release the locked funds.
By leveraging these methods, Mayan ensures efficient and effective cross-chain swaps, enhancing user experience and optimizing trade outcomes in the decentralized finance ecosystem.
